    Hello Parents, The Check-In season for the 2018-19 school year has ended.  We thank each of you for completing that process.  If you need to update student information, to include address changes, please visit your student’s school to process all updates.  You should speak directly with the attendance secretary who will make the changes for you.  We thank you for your continued support!

    Frequently Asked Questions

    What do I need to know to prepare for school?

    You may register online at [ - temporarily deactivated*] for returning students; and at for new students.  This link is temporarily deactivated as well. The on-line registration will resume soon.

    Returning students received assignments in February 2018 and should report to the school indicated in their assignment letter.

    If you received any alternate assignment information, report to that school.

    If you are unsure, report to the school for which you are zoned and assignment updates will be made at the school.

    What about bus service?

    Students who have not received an assignment should go to the nearest bus stop in their neighborhood and ride to their zoned school, unless they have an alternate assignment.

    Parents may call the First Student Transportation phone bank at 447-4165 with any transportation questions.  .

    What about school supplies?

    If you are unsure about which school supplies your child may need, send them with the basics:  pens, pencils, and notebook paper.  Supply lists will be provided by your child’s teacher/school.  Some supplies will also be available to students through our community partners. 

    What about school meals?

    No child will be denied meal service; however, we are encouraging all parents to complete a meal application by visiting My School Apps.

    What about uniforms?

    After you report to your assigned school, you will receive uniform information.

    Welcome to the Little Rock School District Student Registration web page. Here you will find answers to frequently asked questions about registration, transfers in neighborhood attendance zones and enrollment documentation requirements.

    The Student Registration Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  The staff is available to assist you with registration, school information and assignments. The Student Registration Office is located at 501 Sherman Street in downtown Little Rock.

    Registration for the current school year and upcoming year will continue at the Student Registration Office. All new and returning students to the district, (including K-12th graders) will be able to complete registration at the Student Registration Office, at the attendance zone school.  Early childhood students, (three and four year olds) must apply at the Geyer Springs Early Childhood Center, located at 5240 Mabelvale Pike, LR.  The contact phone number is 501-447-7360.

    Early Childhood Registration (P3/P4) will be held at Geyer Springs Early Childhood Center, which is located at 5420 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, AR.  To read more about the P3/P4 requirements, CLICK HERE.

    If you move in the middle of the school year, students may remain at their assigned school for the remainder of the current school year with NO TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED BY THE DISTRICT. Students will be assigned to the neighborhood (attendance zone) school for the upcoming school year.  If a student was alternately assigned, they will be AUTOMATICALLY BE ASSIGNED to the neighborhood (attendance zone) school for the upcoming school year.

    NEW! Transportation Information-LRSD provides transportation for secondary students who live more than two miles from their assigned school and elementary students who live more than one mile from their assigned schools. Click here to download more information. 


    Please note: Sibling preference* will only be granted to students who are currently attending the school of interest and the student (sibling) has maintained enrollment.

    *Sibling preference will not be granted during Open Enrollment periods for students who are terminating an organizational level, i.e., siblings who are at the 5th, 8th and 12th grade levels, with the exception of 5th grade students at Forest Heights STEM Academy.
